If I was my own boss
Given the opportunity I would prefer to be my own boss over being an employee in someone else establishment. This is because running my own
business will allow me to make my financial margin more flexible that is because I would be making more money than working for someone else. I would be able to make speedy and more make informed decisions about what goes on in my
business thus enabling me to build on my own business. Also my contribution as an employer will also allow me to build up my country by hiring
individuals and creating a better life for families. Most of the profit for the business will therefore belongs to me, i will be able to have flexible working hours, take longer or shorter vacation as i see necessary since i am my own boss.
However, although there may be many advantages of being a business owner there are also many disadvantages of owning my own business. in the even that the business should fail all liabilities belongs to me, the stress of whether the decisions I make in my business will make or brake my business. dealing with competition and change in the economy can cause emotional and social stress. Also the long working hours can contribute to family problems.

On the other hand, if I had chosen to be an employee, some advantages I would
incur is that I would be guaranteed a steady income weekly, forth
nightly or monthly. Also I would be entitled a vacation with pay to go and relax from the stress of work. If the business should fail the liability remain with the boss. However some disadvantages of being an employee could mean that there is no avenue for growth in the establishment. I may not be able to have an input if I see need for improvements in the business.
I would also choose to be my own boss. I have some of the same for the advantages and disadvantages.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that being your own boss does present some great advantages, but I don't think I would want to be the owner of a small business as it a great financial risk in which one must under take. However I would support your venture if the services or products are what i may need.
ReplyDeleteBoth cases have their own advantages and disadvantages, although i don't mind working for someone else, my ultimate goal would be to own my own business and be my own boss.
ReplyDeleteDordette, being a business owner is my dream and with the advantages you mentioned I am even more driven to forge ahead with my plans for owning a business. I noted that there are also some negatives but these will help me further in making that final decision.
ReplyDeleteyes being your own boss will give you full control of the business what ever the business makes will be all yours. All profits and loses will be your too. This position comes with allot of responsibilities, hard work and dedication if you want your business to be successful.
ReplyDeleteI must say that I own my own business and it has its advantages and disadvantages. However, I still work for the government and I really do not mind because both job brings income even though its small.
